Are You Packed to the Rafters?

Feeling fed up with the clutter and lack of space in your home? You are not alone. With a recent survey carried out by the British Institute showed that 88% of British homes have at least one cluttered room and the average home has three or more cluttered rooms, it is clear that an organised home is a challenge for many British families.

A cluttered home can leave people feeling “boxed in” and even embarrassed by the clutter. 42% of the survey respondents said they felt anxious or depressed about the amount of clutter in their home, whilst 29% said that clutter stops them enjoying their time at home.

So what are the options? Looking for a larger home is a popular but often costly and time-consuming option. De-cluttering can be the answer but many people have a sentimental attachment to items, or the “clutter” itself is valuable; though only used seasonally or occasionally like heaters and fans, suitcases, Christmas decorations and out-of-season clothes.

Attic Access has been helping families de-clutter their living spaces for over 25 years. They have installed hundreds of loft ladders that have allowed families to unlock their roof space.

Owner, Jon Dunlop says, “Most people are surprised when I tell them that up to 30% of the space in their home can be in the attic. Depending on the type of house, size of attic and budget, we can create a fantastic bespoke storage solution for you. With an Attic Access loft ladder you can put your items out of the way, but still access them quickly, easily and safely whenever you need to.”
